Product Overview

The Shimadzu  make TOC-4200 On-line Total Organic Carbon Analyzer is Shimadzu’s flagship solution for continuous, real-time water quality monitoring. Built on the proven 680 °C catalytic combustion oxidation method with NDIR detection, it delivers highly accurate, reliable results across a wide variety of water matrices—from ultra-pure water to heavily contaminated industrial wastewater.

Unlike UV oxidation analyzers, which can struggle with particulate-rich or difficult-to-oxidize compounds, the TOC-4200 ensures complete oxidation and true TOC measurement, even in challenging conditions. Its fast 4-minute measurement cycle, wide measurement range (1–20,000 mgC/L), and modular configuration make it suitable for industries where precision, uptime, and compliance are non-negotiable.

It supports EPA TOC removal rate calculations (U.S. 40 CFR Part 9, 141, 142) and organic pollutant load management by enabling COD conversions and flow-based calculations

With options for multi-stream monitoring (up to 6 lines), automated calibration and maintenance scheduling, and remote monitoring capability, the TOC-4200 is designed to meet the growing demand for smart, efficient, and regulatory-compliant water monitoring systems in environmental, municipal, and industrial applications.
